Hemingway Project: Seniors

Hemingway/ Old Man and the Sea Research Project:

Directions: You will spend this class period and Wed. researching one of the following topics. You may work individually or in a partnership (no more than two people!). You must have a work cited page with 3 credible sources (use newspaper articles, magazines, and educational websites). You will present your information on Friday to the class. It is your job to educate the class about the topic. You may do this in a multitude of ways please see the section entitled methods to present information on the back for specifics.

Methods To Present ( You may be creative and come up with your own as well!)

All methods must demonstrate acurrate information based on a minimum of 3 sources.

Choose One or combine a few:

  1. Powerpoint/Google Presentation- minimum 12 slides, Images and/or video clips should be included.

2. Create a front page of a newspaper- include at least 2 long and 3 short original articles based on the research you did. Include photos and original drawings as well.

3. Create your own video or newsreel about your topic

4. Make an informational poster with original summaries and drawings ( 6 of each) Make sure your art work is colorful and easy to see from far away.

5. Write and deliver an informational speech on your topic. You may want to include visual aides to enhance the experience for your viewers.

Grading:

*This project in worth 60 points. Your grade will directly be reflected in the effort you put into the project, quality & depth of research, and your oral presentation.
